The Norton-Webster Residence had been occupied for 7 years (all the while suffering with a 4′ tall chain link fence original to the home, which the couple’s two large dogs looked at with all the significance of a speed bump) before construction began on a new six foot tall Western Red Cedar modified-basket-weave privacy fence in January of 2012.
Open Envelope Studio out of Austin, TX was contracted for the design and construction of the project. The fence was completed over a seven day period using the following materials:
2×2 11 gauge Square Bare Steel Tubing
2×2 Bare Steel Square Post Caps
Custom-Made On Site Bare Steel Gate Frame, and custom-made gate latch
Plastic-Encased Gate Hinges
Stainless Steel Screws coated with Weather-Proofing Treatment
